Description
Atmospheric Japanese modernist serigraph attributed to Tetsuro Sawada (1933–1998), titled “Oblique Black.” The composition features layered horizontal bands in blue, black, white, and warm orange, creating an abstract landscape effect characteristic of Sawada’s graphic work.
An old handwritten gallery or dealer tag on the reverse identifies the work as Tetsuro Sawada, 1970, Serigraph.
The print is currently presented in a black frame with dark matting and has a strong architectural presence. It works especially well in modern, mid-century, Japanese-inspired, or eclectic interiors.
The auction listing described the work as unsigned, so we are presenting it as attributed to Sawada rather than as a signed example.
